The truth….I have lived my life only letting pieces of me be seen.

Since I have been little I have felt like I lived in two worlds. The outer world that I projected to everyone and the inner world that would find me confessing my hurts and pains to my journal.  Somewhere along the journey, I learned that my role was to be the fixer, which in my mind also meant that I needed to be able to fix my own problems and not “bother” anyone else with them.

Then in 2016, I felt like I was barely treading water and that at any second I would be overcome by the flood of emotions that were draining my energy and joy.  Dory’s words from Finding Nemo  “just keep swimming,” kept swirling around in my head. The truth was I knew something had to change because what I was doing was not living, but surviving and that is not what we were created for. In John 10:10 Jesus says, “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” I knew God desired for me to live a life of fullness and wholeness, I just didn’t know how to create that kind of life and then live it.

Then through a divine prompting, I reached out to a coach and we began the work of remembering all of who I was created to be.  She asked questions that made me challenge the beliefs I held about myself, my relationships and my business. Through our time together, I began to let go of thoughts that no longer were serving me and creating space for abundance to flow into my life.

I grounded myself in prayer, meditation, affirmation, and wonder. I connected with others through conversations, speaking, teaching and writing.

However even though my business was taking off, there still seemed to be something more that I needed to do in order to open the floodgates of flow in my life. Then as I read Glennon Doyle Melton’s book Love Warrior I realized what the missing piece was. See I have lived my life through my mind and soul, hence the grounding and connecting practices mentioned up above which came relatively easy to me, but I am a reflection of the trinity which means I am to live through my mind, body and soul.

I am now on the path to remembering what it is like to live in and through my body, so I can experience true wholeness. I don’t know all the answers on how that will transform, but I do know the one who does and He reminds me in Isaiah 43:19 that “I am about to do something. See I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

I am grateful that I not only get to travel this journey to wholeness, but that I get to support others as they explore their own journey to fullness and wholeness as they pursue their God-sized dreams.  I am no longer here to be a fixer, rather I am a space holder and a witness to people’s transformations as they pursue their God-sized dreams.  Know you don’t have to just keep swimming and you don’t have to wander this journey alone. I would love to connect with you and discuss how we can partner together as you discover the more you were created for and live wholly YOU. To set up your FREE God-sized Breakthrough call go to:
